Story behind the painting:
I’ve always been fascinated by the way human craftsmanship can so beautifully complement creation. A carefully crafted vase, shaped by the hands of an artisan, becomes the perfect home for flowers that no human hand could ever create. As I painted this piece, I found myself reflecting on the extraordinary gift to create. Whether through art, music, architecture, or design, we have the privilege of making things of beauty that bring life to the world.
The delicate peonies and tulips resting within the blue-and-white porcelain are framed by the quiet simplicity of the ocean beyond. Nothing competes for attention. Instead, everything exists in harmony, inviting the eye—and the heart—to rest.
For me, this painting is a celebration of beauty. It reminds me that even the work of our hands can become a place where God's love and beauty shines.
